Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Press the chocolate chip cookie dough into the bottom of a greased springform pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the sour cream, flour (if using), and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cookie dough base in the springform pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set and slightly jiggles.
- Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
- Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter. Make sure your cookie dough base is evenly distributed. If you want an extra pop of flavor, consider adding a pinch of salt.
