  • 1.5 cups chocolate chip cookie dough Store-bought or homemade
For the cheesecake filling
  • 2 cups cream cheese Softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Balances flavors

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Press the chocolate chip cookie dough into the bottom of a greased springform pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the sour cream, flour (if using), and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cookie dough base in the springform pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set and slightly jiggles.
  8. Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
  9. Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter. Make sure your cookie dough base is evenly distributed. If you want an extra pop of flavor, consider adding a pinch of salt.
