Preparation
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, cumin, paprika, turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken and coat it well with the mixture. Marinate for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight.
Cooking
- Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C). If using a grill, grease the grates.
- Cook the marinated chicken for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked, with an internal temperature of at least 165°F (75°C).
Making Garlic Sauce
- Mix minced garlic, yogurt, lemon juice, tahini (if using), and salt in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
Serving
- Once the chicken is cooked, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
- Serve the chicken in warm pita bread or over rice, spooning garlic sauce on top.
Notes
For leftovers, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven for optimal texture.
