Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  2. Add the chicken sausage and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Mix in the orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove from heat, stir in the Parmesan cheese, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

Consider sautéing onion with the sausage for added sweetness. A splash of lemon juice before serving brightens the dish.
