Ingredients
  

For the chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight.
For the coating
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For frying
  • Vegetable oil Oil should be heated to around 350°F (175°C) for frying.

Preparation
  1. Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture until well coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Fry chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

Serve Chicken Fried Chicken hot with sides like mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or a fresh garden salad. Consider adding gravy or hot sauce for enhanced flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for best results.
