Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch baking pans.
Mixing
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Stir until smooth.
Baking
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for about 25-30 minutes.
Cooling
- Once baked, let the cakes rest in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Frosting & Decorating
- Once cooled, spread a generous layer of buttercream on the top of one cake, place the second cake on top, and frost the entire cake as desired.
