Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Spray a regular muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Unroll the individual pieces of crescent roll dough and lay them in the muffin tin, placing the widest part of the dough at the bottom.
- Scoop about 3 to 4 heaping tablespoons of cherry pie filling into each crescent roll dough piece.
- Start folding the dough over the filling, pulling in the three corners to create a pocket around the cherry filling.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 13-14 minutes, or until golden brown.
Making the Glaze
- While the bites bake, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk in a bowl until you achieve a smooth glaze at the desired consistency.
- Once the cherry pie bites are done, drizzle the glaze over them while they are still warm.
Notes
Serve warm, possibly with vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Reheat before serving. You can customize the filling with other fruit pie fillings like apple or blueberry for different flavors. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon or chocolate drizzle for a festive touch.
