Filling Ingredients
  • 1 cup tart cherry pie filling Use a high-quality filling for the best results.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon Brings a warm aroma to the rolls.
Frosting Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened For a creamy frosting.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar Sweetens the frosting.
  • 1 tablespoon milk Helps achieve the perfect drizzle consistency.

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a warm kitchen towel.
  6. Let it rise in a warm spot for about one hour or until it has doubled in size.
Roll and Fill
  1. Once the dough is ready, gently punch it down to release the air.
  2. Roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the dough.
  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon evenly over the filling.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from one long side to the other and pinch the seams to seal.
  6. Slice it into 1-inch pieces and place the rolls in a greased baking pan.
  7. Let them rise again for 30 minutes.
Bake to Golden Perfection
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Frost & Serve
  1. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls as soon as they come out of the oven.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh! You can prepare the dough the night before and refrigerate until ready to bake.
