  • 1 cup Cheddar or mozzarella cheese Choose your favorite cheese.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances all the flavors.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper or paprika/cayenne Choose spice level to preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder or fresh minced garlic Adds aromatic depth.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For greasing the muffin tins.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh herbs (parsley or chives) adds freshness to the stacks.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes into 1/8 inch thick rounds.
  3. In a large bowl, toss potato slices with cream, cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Grease muffin tins with butter.
  5. Stack the potato slices in the muffin tins.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  2. Allow to cool slightly in the tins.
  3. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

For the best results, ensure potato slices are of uniform thickness. Let cool slightly before serving to maintain shape.
