  • 1 can black beans Use low-sodium for less salt
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For topping
  • 1 cup salsa Use spicy salsa for a kick
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the black beans, cream cheese, salsa, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with tortilla chips or veggies.

Notes

Best served warm with a variety of dipping options. Can prepare in advance and bake just before serving.
