  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 slices cooked turkey roasted or deli-style
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese sharp
  • 4 slices crispy bacon
  • 2 tbsp butter or mayonnaise for spreading on bread
  • tomato slices or mustard optional

Method
 

  1. Lay out the sourdough slices. Spread butter or mayonnaise on one side of each slice.
  2. Layer cheddar, turkey, bacon, and another layer of cheddar on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  3. Top with the second slice, buttered side facing out. Press gently.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Toast the sandwich 3–4 minutes per side until golden and melty.
  5. Slice in half and serve warm with chips, salad, or soup.
