Cheat's Super Easy Chocolate Croissant

Ingredients
  

For the croissants
  • 375 g puff pastry (ready rolled all butter puff pastry) Ensure it's cold for a flakier texture.
  • 120 g chocolate (dark and milk chocolate) Feel free to experiment with different types.
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp icing sugar For sprinkling before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry and cut out 4 strips.
  3. Place a piece of chocolate on one end of each strip and roll it over.
  4. Add another piece of chocolate and roll up the pastry completely.
  5. Press the edges gently to seal in the chocolate.
  6. Lightly spritz with a little water and sprinkle with sugar.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Just before serving warm, sprinkle with icing sugar.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to two days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in a preheated oven.
