Preparation
- Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the carom seeds to the bowl and mix well.
- Gradually add water while kneading the dough until it is soft but not sticky.
- If using oil, add it while kneading for enhanced flavor.
- Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
- After resting, divide the dough into small balls.
- Roll each ball into thin circles using a rolling pin.
Cooking
- Heat a pan or tawa over medium heat.
- Cook each rolled circle until golden brown on both sides.
Notes
Serve alongside yogurt or pickle for additional flavor. Store carom seeds in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to six months. Keep prepared dough in the refrigerator and use within a few days.
