  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour Sift for a light texture.

Add-ins
  • 1 cup diced apples Crisp apples work best.
  • 1 cup caramel bits Use soft variety for melting.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture.
  5. Gently fold in the diced apples and caramel bits.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 10–12 minutes until the edges turn golden.
  2. Cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Drizzle melted caramel on top after baking for extra flavor. Store baked cookies at room temperature for about a week and freeze for up to 3 months.
