  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, diced Can substitute with burrata cheese for a premium touch
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped Add just before serving for better freshness
Dressing
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar Use high-quality for best flavor
  • 1/4 cup olive oil Extra virgin recommended
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions, about 5-7 minutes, until al dente.
  3. Drain the pasta and let it cool completely.
Combining Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, toss together the cooled pasta, halved cherry tomatoes, diced mozzarella, and chopped basil until evenly mixed.
Making the Dressing
  1. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.
Mixing the Salad
  1. Pour the dressing over the pasta salad and gently toss to coat all ingredients.
  2. Ensure everything is evenly dressed and looks vibrant.
Serving
  1. You can serve this salad immediately, or refrigerate it for 30 minutes to deepen the flavors.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Flavors may meld and become more pronounced. Freezing is not recommended but can be done for pasta and dressing separately.
