- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the diced onion and green bell pepper. Sauté them until they're soft and fragrant—about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
- Add the ground chicken to the skillet, cooking until the chicken is no longer pink and browned.
- Sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning, followed by the tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Taste and adjust with salt and pepper as needed.
- Scoop the chicken mixture onto the hamburger buns and add optional toppings before serving.
Notes
You can prep the chicken mixture a day ahead. It will last up to 3 days in the fridge. For storage, freeze in airtight bags or containers for up to 3 months.
