  • 2 tablespoons butter Use high-quality butter for richer flavor.
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat Add for spiciness.

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat (about 375°F).
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion turns translucent and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the sliced sausage. Cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sausage is browned and bubbly at the edges.
  4. Carefully fold in the chopped cabbage. Cook until tender, stirring every 2 minutes for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Season your skillet mix with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
  6. Serve your hearty skillet warm.
