  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped Use finely chopped pecans for better texture.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt If using salted butter, consider omitting this.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour, chopped pecans, and salt, mixing until combined.
  5. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly golden.
  2. Allow cookies to cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
  3. Let cool completely and dust with additional powdered sugar before serving.
