Ingredients
  

Dressing Base
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk Or substitute with regular milk mixed with vinegar or lemon juice.
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust for more heat if desired.
Fresh Herbs
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chives (minced)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, add all the ingredients.
  2. Whisk everything together until well combined.
  3. Taste the dressing and see if you want to add more salt.
  4. For the best flavor, refrigerate the dressing for about an hour before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Stir before using. Adjust herbs and seasonings to taste.
