Ingredients
  

Spice Mix
  • 1.5 teaspoons smoked paprika Adds depth of flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
Potato Chips
  • 2-3 medium potatoes medium potatoes Wash and cut into chip shapes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Divided for chips and beef
Main Ingredients
  • 500 grams lean beef mince
  • Lettuce (shredded)
  • Cheese (dairy-free or regular)
  • Pickle slices
Burger Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (Dijon or yellow)
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice From the jar of pickles
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Wash and cut the potatoes into chip shapes, then pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss the chips with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and half of the prepared spice mix.
Baking Chips
  1. Spread the potato chips evenly on a baking tray and place them in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 30–40 minutes or in an air fryer for about 20 minutes.
  2. Cook until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through.
Cooking Beef
  1. Heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan over high heat.
  2. Add the lean beef mince, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, and cook until browned (about 5 to 7 minutes).
  3. Sprinkle in the remaining spice mix and continue cooking until well-seasoned.
Making Burger Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle juice. Add half a teaspoon each of garlic powder and smoked paprika.
  2. Mix well and adjust seasoning if needed.
Assembly
  1. Divide crispy fries among serving bowls.
  2. Add shredded lettuce, cooked beef mince, a sprinkle of cheese, and pickle slices.
  3. Drizzle burger sauce over the top and serve warm.

Notes

For quick meals, use pre-cut fries or frozen potato options. Ensure ingredients are at room temperature before cooking.
