Ingredients

Sauce Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons soy-based seasoning sauce Found in the international aisle of most grocery stores.
  • ½ teaspoon powdered garlic Can be substituted with fresh garlic for a bolder flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard Optional for added zest.
  • 1 cup packed brown cane sugar Use light or dark variety.
  • ½ cup tomato-based ketchup
  • 1 cup pineapple juice Can be substituted with apple juice for a different twist.
Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds kielbasa Sliced into ½-inch thick coins. Turkey kielbasa can be used for a lighter version.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, blend the brown sugar, pineapple or apple juice, ketchup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard (if using), and powdered garlic. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Arrange the sliced kielbasa evenly in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Pour the prepared glaze over the sausage pieces and mix thoroughly to ensure all slices are coated.
Cooking
  1. Place the baking dish, uncovered, in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes. Stir the kielbasa halfway through to help the glaze evenly coat and thicken over the sausage.
  2. Once the sauce has reduced and caramelized, remove the dish from the oven. Stir gently to combine and transfer the bites to a serving platter.
  3. Serve immediately with toothpicks for easy enjoyment.

Notes
