Salad Ingredients
  • 4 cups Fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup Bacon bits Cook until crispy for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup Dried cranberries
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
Dressing Ingredients
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise Add more for a creamier salad if desired.
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, bacon bits, red onion, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, and cheddar cheese.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the dressing over the broccoli salad mixture and toss well to combine.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

Serve cold. It makes a great side dish or light lunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
