  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • 1 pound mild breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a skillet, brown the breakfast sausage and drain excess grease.
  4. Spread the crescent rolls evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Assembly
  1. Top the crescent rolls with the cooked sausage.
  2. Pour the beaten eggs over the sausage.
  3. Generously sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until the casserole is set and bubbly.

Notes

Serve warm, cut into squares, and pair with fresh fruit, hash browns, or toast. You can add hot sauce or ketchup for extra flavor. Use a mix of cheeses for added flavor, and feel free to add vegetables or substitute different meats according to your preferences. You can also prep the casserole the night before and refrigerate it overnight.
