  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 4 slices American cheese Feel free to substitute with other cheese varieties.
  • 1 cup pickles, diced Use dill pickles for a tangy flavor.
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded Iceberg lettuce works well for crunch.
  • 1/2 cup special sauce (thousand island dressing or similar) Can also add hot sauce for extra kick.
  • 8 small tortillas Corn or flour tortillas can be used.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for seasoning the beef.

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. Once cooked, drain excess fat and return to the heat.
  3. Place a slice of American cheese on top of the beef and allow it to melt.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
Assembly
  1. Assemble the tacos by placing the beef mixture on each tortilla.
  2. Top with diced pickles, shredded lettuce, and a generous drizzle of special sauce.
