Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). If using raw pizza dough, pre-bake it according to package instructions.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to make the special sauce.
- Spread a generous layer of special sauce over the pizza crust, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef over the sauce.
- Place slices of American cheese on top of the beef, covering the surface.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Once out of the oven, top the pizza with shredded lettuce, diced onions, and sliced pickles.
- Brush the crust with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds for an authentic burger bun taste.
- Slice and serve warm, drizzling extra special sauce on top if desired.
Notes
For a keto version, use a cauliflower crust and sugar-free ketchup in the special sauce. To make it vegetarian, replace ground beef with plant-based crumbles.
