Preparation
- Place the chopped onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Rub the pork shoulder with paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if you want some heat.
- Place the seasoned pork on top of the onion and garlic.
- Pour in the chicken broth or water.
- Pour the BBQ sauce all over the pork.
Cooking
- Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 5-6 hours.
- When done, shred the pork using two forks and mix it with the BBQ sauce in the cooker.
Notes
Serve warm on burger buns, in tacos, or over rice. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
