  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For Assembly
  • 4 pieces burger buns Brioche or artisan buns recommended for best flavor.
  • Your favorite cheese slices (cheddar or Swiss recommended)
  • Lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions for toppings
  • Condiments: ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Gently mix without overworking the meat.
  2. Divide into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1 inch thick, making a small indent in the center.
Cooking
  1. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4 to 5 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  2. Flip the patties, add cheese if desired, and cook for another 4 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
  3. During the last minute of cooking, place the burger buns cut-side down on the grill or skillet to toast until golden.
Assembly
  1. Place each patty on a toasted bun and pile on your favorite toppings and condiments.
  2. Serve hot and enjoy the perfect burger!

Notes

Avoid overworking the meat for tender burgers. Use a meat thermometer for doneness check. Leftover patties can transform into a hearty breakfast with scrambled eggs.
