Stir-Fry Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 2 large beef tomatoes cut into wedges
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce and a pinch of pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  • Prepare the sauce: Mix oyster sauce, cornstarch slurry, and a bit of water in a separate bowl. Set aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add onions and bell peppers. Cook until they begin to soften.
  • Increase the heat to high and add the marinated beef. Stir-fry until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  • Add tomato wedges and cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Pour in the prepared sauce, stirring continuously until it thickens and evenly coats the beef and vegetables.
  • Remove from heat and serve over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of sesame oil or a sprinkle of chili flakes. Serve with jasmine rice for an authentic experience.
