Ingredients
  

Stir Fry Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp sriracha
  • 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
Main Ingredients
  • 1/2 head green cabbage shredded
  • 2 carrots shredded
  • 3 green onions sliced
  • 1/2 Tbsp neutral cooking oil
  • 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp fresh grated ginger
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp sriracha (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare the stir fry sauce by mixing the soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, sriracha, and brown sugar in a small bowl. Set it aside.
  2. Shred the cabbage, carrots, and green onions. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cooking oil, ground beef, garlic, ginger, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned.
  2. Add the shredded cabbage and carrots to the skillet. Cook until the cabbage is wilted.
  3. Stir in the prepared sauce and add the green onions. Mix everything well.
  4. If you like, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.

Notes

Serve on its own for a low-carb meal or over rice/noodles. Pairs well with steamed broccoli. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
