Ingredients

For the Pasta Bake
  • 2.5 cups grape tomatoes These little gems burst with sweetness as they cook! Be sure to wash and dry them well—no one likes a watery dish.
  • 1 8 oz brick Feta cheese The star of the show! Using a block instead of crumbles helps it stay creamy and melt beautifully.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning A lovely blend of herbs; feel free to get creative with dried oregano or thyme!
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Just a touch to enhance all those wonderful flavors!
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil This gives a lovely richness to the dish; plus, it helps the cheese get that lovely golden edge.
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh basil The fragrant finish that brings everything together—oh, the smell will transport you!
  • 12 oz bow tie pasta Cooked, drained, and kept warm, this fun shape holds the sauce well!

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium-sized baking dish, place your grape tomatoes, spreading them out.
  3. Nestle the block of feta cheese in the middle of the tomatoes.
  4. Drizzle 3 tablespoons of olive oil over the tomatoes and the feta.
  5. Sprinkle your Italian seasoning and salt over the mixture.
  6. Drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the feta.
Baking
  1. Slide the dish into the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the tomatoes burst and the feta softens.
Finishing Touches
  1. Once out of the oven, stir the cheese and tomatoes until smooth and combined.
  2. Toss in the freshly chopped basil.
  3. Gently mix in the cooked and warm bow tie pasta, ensuring every piece gets coated in the sauce. Serve hot.

Notes

Choose the ripest tomatoes for the best flavor. Use good quality feta for the best results. For added flavor, consider roasting garlic or adding red pepper flakes. This dish is great for meal prep; just keep pasta separate until serving.
