Ingredients

For the Ribs
  • 2 racks baby back ribs Choose high-quality ribs from your local butcher or grocery store.
For the Dry Rub
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar Can substitute with honey or maple syrup for sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust for spice preference.
For Grilling
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Use your favorite sauce or a homemade recipe.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create your dry rub.
  3. Generously rub this mixture all over the ribs, ensuring even coverage for maximum flavor.
  4. Place the ribs on a large baking sheet and cover them tightly with foil to lock in moisture.
Baking and Grilling
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 150 to 180 minutes, or until the ribs are tender and the meat pulls back from the bones slightly.
  2. While the ribs bake, preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  3. Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven, slather them with the BBQ sauce, and grill for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize.
  4. Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then serve and enjoy!

Notes

Serve hot with classic sides like coleslaw, baked beans, or corn on the cob. For storage, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to four days or freeze for up to three months.
