Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
Filling and Toppings
  • 2 pieces apples, peeled, cored, and chopped Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar For sprinkling
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For sprinkling
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar For glaze
  • 1 tablespoon milk For glaze
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For glaze

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until everything is combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples.
Assembly
  1. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  3. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
  4. Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar on top.
  5. Swirl with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
Baking
  1. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Glazing
  1. While the bread cools, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.
  3. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze for up to three months. Make sure to thaw before serving. You can also mix in nuts or raisins for added texture.
