Ingredients

For Seasoning and Cooking
  • 1 lb Striploin steak Choose a fresh cut.
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste.
  • 1 tsp Pepper To taste.
  • 2 tbsp Garlic butter For added flavor in the last minute of cooking.
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil To brush on the steak.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the striploin steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Brush the steak with olive oil.
Cooking
  1. Place the steak in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes for medium rare, flipping halfway through.
  2. In the last minute of cooking, slather the steak with homemade garlic butter.
  3. Remove from the air fryer, let it rest for a few minutes, and then slice and serve.

Notes

Let the steak sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking for even cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; for medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of about 135°F (57°C). Experiment with different seasonings like paprika or garlic powder for added flavor. Store leftovers wrapped in plastic wrap or aluminum foil in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat using the air fryer.
