  • 1 pound Mushrooms (any type you love, such as button, cremini, or portobello) Look for firm, shiny caps.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin oil adds a fruity note.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Preferably freshly cracked.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Use more if you’re a garlic lover!
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon Herbs (fresh or dried thyme, rosemary, or parsley) Get creative and mix your favorites!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Clean and slice the mushrooms uniformly, about ¼ to ½ inch thick.
Cooking
  1. Toss the sliced mushrooms in a mixing bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and herbs.
  2. Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Set the air fryer timer for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  4. They are done when golden brown and tender.
Serving
  1. Transfer the mushrooms to a serving dish and sprinkle with additional salt if desired. Serve hot!

Notes

Dry mushrooms well after washing to ensure crispiness. Don't crowd the basket; space is needed for air circulation. For variations, try different spices and add fresh herbs after cooking.
