  • 12 sticks mozzarella sticks Use string cheese or low-moisture mozzarella for best results.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Used for the first coating.
  • 2 large eggs, beaten Used for the second coating.
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Enhances flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to preference.
  • as needed Cooking spray For spraying the sticks before cooking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each mozzarella stick in the flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Arrange the coated sticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for about 6-8 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
  2. Optionally, add grated Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs on top.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in the air fryer to regain crispiness. Avoid overcrowding in the air fryer basket for even cooking.
