Ingredients
  

Cheese and Coating
  • 12 sticks mozzarella sticks Make sure they are frozen before breading.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs Can use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Add more for extra flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Cooking spray For spraying the mozzarella sticks before air frying.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each mozzarella stick in flour, then the egg, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Arrange the coated sticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for about 6-8 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

To store leftover mozzarella sticks, let them cool completely, and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes until warm and crispy again.
