Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 2 slices thick bread (sourdough or sandwich bread) Choose thick bread for better structure and taste.
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, etc.) Experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional) Lightly butter one side of the bread.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Optional: fresh parsley or chives Add for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Lightly butter one side of the bread and press a well into the center.
  3. Crack one egg into each bread slice.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese around the edges or over the whites.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, until the whites are set and the cheese is melted.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs. Serve hot.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer or microwave. Best enjoyed fresh.
