Ingredients

For the Fajitas
  • 2 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 pieces red bell pepper, cut into 1/4” slices
  • 1 pieces yellow bell pepper, cut into 1/4” slices
  • 1 pieces green bell pepper, cut into 1/4” slices
  • 1/2 pieces yellow onion, cut into 1/4” slices
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Tortillas For serving
  • Sour cream For topping
  • Guacamole For topping

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix all the spices together with a small fork to create the fajita seasoning.
  2. Take a large mixing bowl and add the chicken strips, onion, and bell peppers. Drizzle with olive oil and toss everything together.
  3. Sprinkle the seasoning over the chicken and veggies, then toss again until everything is evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned chicken and vegetables into the air fryer basket.
  2. Cook at 350°F for 16 to 20 minutes. Make sure to shake the basket halfway through, around the 9-minute mark, to ensure even cooking.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, serve the fajitas wrapped in tortillas, and top with sour cream, chopped cilantro, and guacamole.

Notes

Make sure to cut the chicken and vegetables into even strips for uniform cooking. You can also add other vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms for more variety. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to allow hot air to circulate properly.
