Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 large russet potatoes Choose russet potatoes for the best texture and flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For extra crispy skin, rub generously.
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper To taste.
  • Toppings of your choice (e.g., sour cream, chives, cheese, bacon) Customize as desired.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes, then dry them thoroughly.
  3. Pierce each potato several times with a fork.
  4. Rub the potatoes with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  2. Air fry for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the skins are crispy and a fork easily pierces the potato.
Serving
  1. Remove from the air fryer, let cool for a couple of minutes, then serve with your favorite toppings.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let the baked potatoes cool completely. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them back in the air fryer for about 5-10 minutes at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through. Don’t skip the piercing step; this allows steam to escape and prevents bursting. Feel free to experiment with different seasonings or toppings!
