  • 4 pieces russet potatoes (6 to 8 ounces per-potato) Choose potatoes that are similar in size for even cooking.
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil Can use olive oil, avocado oil, or any other neutral oil.
  • to taste Coarse sea salt Sprinkle over the potatoes before cooking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Turn on your air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Rinse the russet potatoes under water using a vegetable scrubber to clean off dirt.
  3. Pat the potatoes dry with paper towels and place them on a cutting board.
  4. Use a fork to poke holes in each potato to allow steam to escape while cooking.
  5. Coat the potatoes with neutral oil and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
Cooking
  1. Place the potatoes in the air fryer. If your air fryer basket is small or potatoes are large, work in batches.
  2. Cook for 30 minutes, checking for doneness by inserting a fork.
  3. If the fork doesn’t go in smoothly, cook for another 5 minutes and repeat until desired texture is reached.
Finishing Up
  1. Remove the potatoes from the air fryer and place them on the cutting board.
  2. Make a shallow cut down the middle of each potato without slicing them completely in half.
  3. Press on the edges to open them up, allowing steam to escape.
  4. Use a fork to fluff the insides and add your favorite toppings before serving.

Experiment with different toppings such as butter, sour cream, chives, or shredded cheese.
