Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups grape juice
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 whole orange, sliced
  • 3-4 whole cloves
  • 2-3 sticks cinnamon
  • 2 whole star anise
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional) Adjust sweetness to your taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, combine grape juice and apple juice.
  2. Add the orange slices, cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and ginger if using.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it just starts to simmer, then lower the heat and let it steep for about 15-20 minutes.
  4. If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup.
  5. Strain and serve warm in mugs, garnished with additional orange slices or cinnamon sticks.

Notes

For a tropical twist, you can replace the apple juice with pineapple juice. This change will give the mocktail a visually appealing color and an exciting tropical flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
