- In a large pot, combine grape juice and apple juice.
- Add the orange slices, cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and ginger if using.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat until it just starts to simmer, then lower the heat and let it steep for about 15-20 minutes.
- If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup.
- Strain and serve warm in mugs, garnished with additional orange slices or cinnamon sticks.
Notes
For a tropical twist, you can replace the apple juice with pineapple juice. This change will give the mocktail a visually appealing color and an exciting tropical flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
