  • 1 cup unsalted butter, browned Brown the butter until golden-brown.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Use room temperature eggs.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup M&Ms or similar colorful candies Use any colorful candies.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the oats, chocolate chips, and colorful candies.
  7. Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
